About Us

Healthy Elders, Empowered Youth

Egbelu Umuhu Community runs two community-driven programmes side by side — the EFHPE health plan for our elders, and a Youth Empowerment Programme for our young people — because a community thrives when both ends of it are cared for.

Our Vision

We envision an Egbelu Umuhu where every elderly person has access to compassionate healthcare and every young person has the opportunity to develop their talents, pursue meaningful work, and contribute to the growth of the community. By investing in the health of our elders and the potential of our youths today, we are building a stronger, safer, and more prosperous Egbelu Umuhu for future generations.

Strengthening Families & Community

Healthy elders can continue to guide and support younger generations, while empowered youths can contribute positively to their families and the wider community. These programmes strengthen family relationships and encourage mutual care and responsibility — and by bringing together community leaders, churches, healthcare professionals, volunteers, and development partners, they build the trust and unity Egbelu Umuhu needs to keep growing.

Building Toward Long-Term Development

  • Creating a reliable community health database to support future planning.
  • Increasing health awareness and encouraging preventive care.
  • Improving skills and economic opportunities for young people.
  • Strengthening volunteerism and community participation.
  • Attracting partnerships with government agencies, NGOs, healthcare providers, and private-sector supporters.

When our elders are healthy, they continue to share wisdom. When our youths are empowered, they create opportunities. Together, they build a community where hope grows, families flourish, and the future is brighter for all.
